When we think of the bridges of Brisbane in Australia, the first structure that comes to mind is the Story Cantilever Truss Bridge, built in 1940 and like Harbour Bridge in Sydney, also a tourist attraction especially for bridge climbing. Yet there is another bridge out of the 20+ that can be found in the city. That one is the Victoria Bridge. This one has a history of its own, for even though the 1969 bridge has been in service, it’s the fourth bridge in use in over 150 years and it has a unique history of its own.
