BHC Pic of the Week Nr. 172

While this bridge will never be famous or in any history books because of its bland appearance, this first Pic of the Week for 2022 presents us with a wonderful feeling of winter. We had our first snowfall in Saxony this past Christmas- the first in four years, which is untypical. And with that, came the opportunity to enjoy it while it was still there. While the ski lifts were shut down due to the Covid-19 pandemic and the government’s decision to shut down all the leisure facilities and events- such as fitness studios, markets of all sorts, sporting facilities, theaters and cultural centers, the snow didn’t keep us from going for walks and in some cases getting some photos like you see here. It was nice while it lasted for it was gone in the same time span as it came- one day. Whether we will have an opportunity to do winter sports at all this season, remains open. It’s spring time here yet we are able to bag in all seasons into one month, as we’ve seen not only here but everywhere.

So make use of the beauty while you still can. You don’t know what you have until it’s gone…..
