It’s the start of winter and with that, we’ll take a look at the bridge photos produced by myself, the late James Baughn and others in the historic bridge community that deserve international recognition because of their beauty.
This is one of them- a through truss bridge over Brush Creek in Sangamon County, Illinois. According to Bridgehunter.com, the Pratt through truss span was built in 1928 but was relocated here in 1956. Taken by James Baughn in 2016, this bridge has a tranquil setting in the winter time with farmsteads in the background and trees in the foreground. A quiet setting with only a few cars out and about at the time of the photo.
