This bridge has rarely seen any newsstories about it because it is deep in the “darkest Peru”, as coined by the character Paddington Bear. Yet the crew at Bridge Boys decided to tackle this structure, looking at its history and how it was built (and built again based on an ancient tradition). It is the last bridge of its kind in the western Hemisphere and there are photos, films and other reasons why this bridge is now a candidate for the 2021 Bridgehunter Awards in the Category, James Baughn’s Individual Bridge Finds.
