HYB: Brooklyn Bridge and Boone Tunnel

This film documentary looks at the Brooklyn Bridge, but not the Brooklyn Bridge that we all know about- the suspension bridge spanning the East River between Manhattan and Brooklyn and built by John A. Roebling.  This bridge is located in Kentucky, at the border between Mercer and Jessamine County spanniong the Kentucky River.  In this documentary by History in Your Own Backyard, Satolli Glassmeyer looks at the history of the bridge and how the crossing was made thanks in part to the creation of a tunnel. The Boone Tunnel still exists, the bridge is not. Gone since 1953, it has been replaced by the present structure on a new alignment. Here’s more from Satolli:
