The Abu-Deleig Railway Bridge, built over the Atbara river in Sudan allowed the extension of the Kassala-Sennar railway. Completed in July 1928, this bridge was constructed using 1400 tons of steel, manufactured by Dorman Long & Co at their works in Middlesbrough.

The collections at Teesside Archives also include plans of the bridge (BS/DL/6/6/1/1) and additional photos.
